● Effective Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Gain hands-on experience in operating an AED, understanding its prompts, and ensuring correct pad placement. This section focuses on increasing the effectiveness of defibrillation for sudden cardiac arrest in different scenarios.
● Airway Obstruction and Choking Response
Learn to recognize and respond to choking incidents using advanced techniques such as abdominal thrusts, back blows, and modifications for unconscious individuals. Covers procedures for assisting infants, children, and adults.
● Managing Severe Bleeding and Wound Care
Understand how to assess and control heavy bleeding, properly clean wounds, and apply appropriate bandaging techniques. This includes handling deep cuts, punctures, burns, and other serious injuries to prevent further complications.
